Landscape lighting contributes to the aesthetic appeal of your home while greatly enhancing security and increasing your property value. When it comes to lighting outdoor spaces, most tend to think of simply illuminating the exterior of a structure or property. One of the most underestimated aspects of landscape lighting is that it can actually extend living space physically as well as visually.
LED lamps use significantly less energy and they provide easier upgrades when adding fixtures to an existing transformer. LED offer a longer lifespan often exceeding 10 years avoiding the cost associated with replacing halogen bulbs. LED lamps operate at lower temperatures so there is less of a chance someone would be burned if they touch a fixture.
We install all major brands and manufacturers, but our preference is to install AMP LED Lighting. AMP fixtures are engineered to survive a lifetime in the harsh outdoor environment by resisting corrosion and the solid brass construction is extremely durable in the outdoor environment. AMP fixtures are built to last as long as the LEDs they house. The cast brass body, knuckle, and shroud ensure protection from physical and chemical abuse. The precisely engineered internal components guarantee protection from water damage and corrosion. All of our wiring is direct burial and we only use the best waterproof connectors which are crucial for a long-lasting design.
The following are a few examples of the benefits of low-voltage lighting: * Low voltage, 12-volt, landscape lighting is safer to operate than traditional 120-volt light. * 12-volt operating expenses are approximately 1/3 less than 120-volt lamps. * Per fixture installation costs are up to 90% less than 120 volt. * 12-volt lamps give beam control rather than Omni-direction flare of 120-volt lamps. * For wattage’s of 75 or less, there are over 100 (one hundred) 12-volt lamps available, compared to 12 (twelve) 120-volt lamps. * 12-volt lamps are capable of compact design therefore yield more compact fixtures. * 12-volt lamps produce a better quality of light than 120-volt. * 12-volt lamps are available in a wide range of quartz halogen, not available to 120-volt.
Traditional or the most commonly used light sources are powered by 120 volt current. This is known as line voltage and is the standard current. When you plug something into an outlet you are accessing this 120 volt current. Low-voltage lighting operates on a 12 volt current. This is similar to the amount of electricity used by a car battery. 12 volt is much safer and more energy efficient.
We recommend brass, copper, composite or poweder coated finished on outdoor lighting systems offer because they are the most durability and resist chipping and fading.
Landscape lighting contributes to the aesthetic appeal of your lawn while enhancing security and increasing your property value. We now use LED lighitng for all of our new installations with lamp warranties exceeding 10 years from certain manufacturers.
We will not and have not installed a system without a rain sensor since the company’s inception. The sensors are a minimal cost, but an effective tool to conserve water usage during rain events. WiFi options offer increased value because a user can simply login remotely with their mobile device to turn off the system before any rain events and continue to delay watering until necessary. We provide a full year warranty with every installation, plus we honor manufacturers for any defective equipment.
We do offer WiFi enabled controller options allowing the user to program and operate the system with their mobile device. We currently install the Rainbird LNK WiFi modules along with the Hunter HC controllers.
In Middle Tennessee, there are a few essential maintenance procedures that are required plus water provider mandated certifications. We provide annual maintenance services that include the Spring Activation and the Winterization service. The backflow device needs to be tested each season, but some water departments do their own testing and others allow the homeowner to hire their preferred vendor. All of our full-time technicians are certified to test, install and repair backflow devices.
The average system will take one to two days to install. We use state-of-the-art equipment, each crew includes at least 5 installers and we are very efficient. After several weeks, the trenches in the turf will begin to blend with your existing lawn. Our crews are trained to protect your existing landscape and plant material. When digging in shrub beds, our crews take special care not to disturb the roots of your valuable trees and shrubs. Each crew has the necessary equipment to bore underneath sidewalks and driveways if needed.
With each installation we provide an orientation, controller overview along with a complete final walk thru of the system. Our technicians will also review the annual maintenance services.
No! Your contractor will explain to you how your controller works and how the watering times have been set. Then if necessary, the watering times can be adjusted by following the instructions on the inside of the controller cabinet. And that is it; the system does the rest for you.
No! In fact, it could cost you more money in the long run.
If it rained at your house every three days the same exact amount each time, you probably would not need a sprinkler system. But nature does not work that way, and the only way to ensure healthy, lush growth is to make certain your lawn and plants receive a regularly timed, evenly measured amount of water. In the dry season when there is little or no rain, your yard can suffer damage after just a few days without water.
It will do a much better job because a professionally designed system will deliver exactly the right amount of water to individual lawn and garden areas.
No. In fact, it will conserve water. The system’s controller and rain sensor will be set so you receive only the amount of water you need. You will not over-water or under-water your lawn with an automatic sprinkler system.
Yes. You won’t have to spend another minute of your valuable leisure time watering the lawn. Whether you are home or away, your system will do the watering for you!
